Hockey Moves: Bracebridge Summer Camps, Skill Development, Spring Teams

Hockey Moves loves Bracebridge, Ontario. We're here to build genuine on-ice confidence, master core mechanics, and help local players of all ages and skill levels fall in love with the game.
We run our programs at Bracebridge's premier local rinks, primarily skating out of the brand-new, state-of-the-art Muskoka Lumber Community Centre (Muskoka Lumber Arena). Whether your player is joining our summer hockey camps, sharpening their stride, or prepping for a competitive rep season, our coaches are here to help them take their game to the next level.
What We Do in Bracebridge
We don't believe in the old-school, high-pressure grind. We focus on high-tempo, creative development. When kids feel supported, they take risks, try new moves, make mistakes, and ultimately develop their skills much faster.
1. High-Tempo Summer Camps
Our summer camps pair intensive, skill-first morning ice blocks with active, multi-sport dry-land training and creative outdoor games. It's about keeping kids active, smiling, and building skills in a positive environment.
2. Spring Tournament Teams
Transition seamlessly from the winter Bears season straight into fast-paced spring hockey. Our MOMENTUM Spring Tournament Teams give dedicated Bracebridge players a highly structured, encouraging environment to sharpen game-speed puck control and tactical coordination. Learn more about MOMENTUM here.
3. Player Development & Skills Clinics
Take advantage of Bracebridge's pristine new ice facility. Our weekly skills clinics focus intensely on modern skating mechanics, transitional edge work, explosive power strides, and creative puck protection. We break complex hockey movements down so they stick. Find upcoming skills programs here.
4. Team Training & Guest Coaching
Are you coaching a South Muskoka minor hockey team out of Bracebridge this year? Shake up your winter practice schedule. The Hockey Moves coaching staff runs Guest Coaching Takeover practices at the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre, customized to match your team's age, skill gap, and competitive schedule.
The Hockey Moves Standard
- Active, Positive Role Models: Our coaches are active and former junior and college players who grew up playing local Ontario hockey. They lead by example with high encouragement and modern coaching techniques.
- Skill Groupings that Work: We group players by skill level. This allows local league players to find their balance and gain confidence, while rep players are pushed with high-speed, complex drills.
- Positive, High-Energy: Our coaches are in the drills, offering constructive feedback, and keeping the energy positive.
